I recently stumbled upon a post about a group of people who wanted to make homemade mouthwash.
I was curious to try it myself, and found it was very easy to make.
Here’s how to do it.
The ingredients You’ll need: _____water (any type of water can be used), salt, salt water, baking soda, baking powder, powdered sugar, salt, baking paper, baking ingredients, baking oil, salt tablets, salt (any kind), baking soda and baking powder _____1 gallon (2.5 liters) of water, or 1 liter (3 cups) of distilled or sparkling water, for the washing process and a large pot of water for the final rinse (I use a 2 liter water pot, but any water pot works.)
1 gallon (3 liters or more) of baking soda for baking soda-based mouthwash recipes _____A mixing bowl, or bowl of equal size, for storing your ingredients (you can use a small baking dish or even a large bowl.)
_____The baking soda solution and baking paper (I’m using this for my mouthwash recipe.)
_______For the mouthwash (I’ve used this to make 2 of my homemade mouthwashes, and used a mix of 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder and 1 tablespoon of baking spray.)
____________________Step 1: Wash and rinse the ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
You can use any type of bowl or bowl that has a mixing bowl included.
If you use a bowl with a large top, add water or other liquid to the bowl as you rinse the bowl.
Do this so that the water and salt get dissolved and the baking soda gets dissolved.
___________Step 2: Mix the ingredients together and then add the salt.
I use a mix and forget method because it’s not very easy, but if you’re feeling adventurous, you can just make the salt in a mixing cup.
I find the mix and forgot method works best for my recipe.
_____________________Step 3: Add the baking powder.
Mix the baking paste with the salt and water.
You’ll have a nice, thin paste that’s easy to blend.
_______Step 4: Add water.
The water should be about 1 tablespoon.
___________________________Step 5: Add baking soda.
Mix until well combined.
_____________________________________________________You can add more baking soda as needed.
I usually add 1 tablespoon or more of baking sugar to each batch.
_____Step 6: Mix in the baking paper.
It’s a good idea to mix the baking spray and baking soda together and leave some air bubbles.
___The final product __________________________________________________________You’re done!
