The world’s first recorded case of the coronaviral pandemic has been recorded in the Philippines, according to a report released by the World Health Organization on Monday.
The World Health Organisation said that it had registered 10 cases of coronaviruses in the country, with two deaths.
The first case was reported on Friday, according the report.
The Philippines reported more than 2,000 cases of the virus, with the country’s population having nearly 4 million people.
There are about 15,000 confirmed cases, according AFP news agency, with 1,000 deaths.
More than 100,000 people in the southern Philippines, mainly in the city of Marawi, have been infected with the virus.
The Philippines has been hit by a wave of outbreaks since the outbreak of the pandemic last year.
