You’ve heard it all before: “You know how when people talk about women, you just have to say ‘bitch?'”
If that sounds like a cliché, it is.
It is not.
It’s one of the most common words used to describe women in pop culture.
It was invented by British comedian Jamie Dornan in 1993 and became synonymous with the phrase “Bitch, I’m a bitch.”
“Bitches” is used to mean a bitch, but also someone who is a bit different.
“You just have a different way of talking about women,” said Dr. Stephanie Schleifer, a professor of communication studies at the University of Southern California.
“That’s the thing that you want to avoid.”
She explains how “bitch” came to be.
“Bits” was used to express a desire for someone to have sex with them, she said.
“I’ve got a boyfriend who’s like, ‘I’m a bit bit bit bitchy.’
I said, ‘Yeah, you’re a bit a bit, I think I’m going to have a bit of a bit’.” So why is “bitching” so bad?
Dr. Schlefer explains why.
It stems from the word’s origins in the 17th century.
“It came from a lot of different parts of the world, and from Africa and India,” she said, “where the word was originally used to say something like ‘sucking’ or ‘to fuck’.” Dr. Rebecca Hargreaves, an assistant professor at the university, says that the word “bitches” also came from Latin.
It meant “blessed, gracious” or “good, kind.”
It was used in reference to “a woman who is generous or kind.”
Dr. Hargrews explains how this came to mean “a person who is good.”
“There’s a big difference between a ‘bitches’ and a ‘good’ person,” she explained.
“Good people are kind and generous, and people who are ‘bitter’ and ‘mean’ are not.
They’re not good people.”
Dr Hargres points to the phrase used to denote women who are “bitter” in America today.
“When it comes to women, the word ‘bully’ is used because it is a misogynistic term that dehumanizes women,” she added.
The reason that the term “bully” has taken on such a negative connotation is because of its use in the media.
“We’ve become so used to seeing women in the mainstream of society being abused, bullied, and shamed, and it’s so important that we have this word that’s used to demean women,” Dr. Burdick said.
Dr. Dornans original joke about women being ‘bastards’ was used as a punchline for his show “The Jamie Dorsons Show,” which is currently available on YouTube.
“The joke about bumbling, stumbling, and ‘bitching’ was a reference to his own experiences as a boy,” Dr Burdicks show said in a statement.
“A young Jamie Dornsons has a series of conversations with his friends in which he explains to them how they ‘bend over backwards’ to ‘have sex with you’ or what he calls ‘babes.’
He explains that this is because, ‘Bitches suck.’
That is the way you are.”
However, Dr. Riesling explained that this term has a long history in popular culture.
“For a long time, it’s been used to refer to women who act as ‘b****s’ or as ‘n****rs,'” she explained, “because of its association with sexual harassment.”
Dr Schleife says that she is particularly concerned about the way that the phrase has been used in recent years.
“If you see people in the streets of America being abused for being ‘bitches’ or for having sex with other women, then they’re going to assume that it’s OK to use that as a metaphor for women in general,” she stated.
Dr Hargereaves says that people often think that the language of the word is “bad.”
“I think it’s actually good,” she agreed.
“Because it allows people to really think about women in a different light.”
“It’s about being aware of what’s going on in our society,” Dr Higgles added.
“And then to say, ‘That’s not okay.'”
She explains that it is important for people to be able to say “b****” and “bunch.”
“And that you should be able,” she continued.
“Even if it’s something that’s very personal to you, you should still be able and to say it.”
